Filmmaker, Jeffrey Teitler in collaboration with Hartford HealthCare and Medscape earn a 2nd Emmy® Award from the 46th annual Emmy Awards held in Boston, MA on June 10th.
The prestigious recognition was granted by the National Academy of Arts and Television Sciences – Boston/New England Regional Chapter.
In THE NO JUDGEMENT ZONE, Emergency physician, Cynthia Price, confronts the end of life, an ongoing pandemic and treats a transgender patient’s sudden paralysis.
STATE OF EMERGENCY was published in January of ’22 on Medscape. The documentary short previously won a gold regional ASBEE Award as well as a silver national award from the American Society of Publishers and Editors.

We are pleased to announce, the American Public Health Film Festival (APHA) selects GSW WOMEN to screen during their annual gathering in Atlanta. GSW WOMEN recently received an Emmy® Nomination from the National Academy of Arts And Television Sciences, Boston / New England Region. The Documentary Short Film, Directed by Jeffrey Teitler received distribution and publication from Medscape, a WebMD Company December 19th 2022.
Within an ongoing epidemic of violence, filmmaker, Jeffrey Teitler, tracks the life-saving efforts, courage, and resilience of three female practitioners and an entire medical team at Hartford Hospital’s Level 1 Trauma Center.

Filmed as events unfold, trauma surgeon Dr Jane J. Keating, physician assistant Ashley Weisse, and emergency nurse Amber Langlois reveal an intimate glimpse within a preventable cycle of America’s violence epidemic — and the scars it leaves behind.

Dr. Lenworth Jacobs spent much of his career as the Chair of Hartford Hospital’s Department of Trauma. Yet, his work would reverberate to the White House and beyond, saving hundreds of thousands of lives and transforming the emergency care system.STOP THE BLEED was published in October of 22 and premiered at the inaugural Lenworth Jacobs Trauma Symposium.
NEIGHBORHOOD HEALTH was also nominated for an Emmy Award in the Video Essayist category.

During the height of the pandemic, critical care physician, Megan Panico and her ICU team at Hartford Hospital selflessly cared for on onslaught of Connecticut’s most critical COVID-19 patients. Sacrificing their own health and family needs, COVIDLAND is an intimate portrait of courage and hope during the greatest healthcare crisis of our time.
